Only a Desolate Home and a Loyal Dog Named Sheru Remain: Rescued
Three members of the Chandgude family tragically lost their lives after falling from Khavadya Dongar in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar.
In the aftermath of this heartbreaking incident, all that remains of the family is their empty, silent home and their devoted dog, Sheru. Overwhelmed by the sudden absence of his owners, Sheru has spent the last three days in deep distress, longing for their return.
Left completely alone in the house, he would bark hopefully whenever anyone approached the window, clinging to the belief that his family had finally come back. Though hungry, he refused to eat the plain biscuits offered to him. He was used to the special khichdi or egg omelette that Kunal’s mother lovingly prepared for him.
Sheru’s pitiable condition moved the neighbours to tears. They were left wondering who would now take responsibility for this voiceless, grieving animal.
Finally, this afternoon, the Pet Lover Association stepped in and rescued Sheru. Even after being taken to safety, the loyal dog continues to sit with his eyes fixed on the doorway, still waiting for the Chandgude family to return.
