Leopard Rescued from Protective Mesh in Phulgav; 

A leopard trapped in a protective mesh near the CAD Camp area in Phulgav has been successfully rescued by the Forest Department with great skill and care.

As soon as the information was received, a Forest Department team rushed to the spot. The entire rescue operation was carried out in a well-planned manner under the direct supervision of Deputy Conservator of Forests Harvir Singh.

Valuable contributions to this successful rescue came from ISO Captain Chirag of CAD Camp, Veterinary Officer Dr. Amit Jha, Ashish Goswami of Karuna Ashram, Honorary Wildlife Warden Kaustubh Gawande, Dr. Akshay Giri of PFA, Wardha Range Forest Officer Vaishali Bhalavi, and the entire Forest Department team.

After the leopard was safely immobilised and secured, doctors conducted a thorough medical examination and confirmed that its health is completely satisfactory.

Thanks to the prompt response and excellent coordination between the Forest Department, CAD Camp administration, the medical team and voluntary organisations, a major mishap was averted. The Forest Department’s swift action has received widespread appreciation from all quarters.
